There was no love lost between the two sisters.
That pretty much sums up the relationship I have with my sister,
but still, sometimes we treat each other so well, we get goosebumps.
Can't she be my elder sister, mentor, friend, family, buddy like i never had? ):
her wisdom with words and numbers.
her peserverance, determination, drive for excellence, passion..
if only she taught me along the way, instead of letting me find it myself which i am so lazy to do so.. i would be more than who i am today.
with a pathetic GPA of only 2.something-so-sad-i-dont-want-to-remind-myself-again
and her, double degree in SMU, full schlorship from the rich HK guy, millions of companies waiting to hire her, right.
Primary, Secondary, now Tertiary, when will i pull up my socks and stop thinking shes the best in the family?
Because I know there are a million things I know how to do and she dont
& She know that there are a million things that she know that i dont.

Let me share some really pathetic and summarised history of Myanmar..
After earning its own freedom for just 6 years, Myanmar took on the wrong path and entered the world of Military Rule, that lasted for about 2 decades, till present..
Something happened again, I forgot, and about 3-5 thousand students took the protest to the streets and it was said that about 3K students were killed in that riot.
The National League for Democracy (NLD), the party of Aung San Suu Kyi, won 392 out of a total 489 seats, but the election results were annulled by SLORC, which refused to step down.(taken from www.wikipedia.org!)

damn !@#@$% right? lose to a woman then duwan to hand over, then put her under hse arrest. then no support from people = no power, so impose stronger military rule.
i think i also know how la.

and CNA was showing this picture of three monks, one holding his rice bowl upside down, prob trying to say that the people have nothing to eat, showing the angst and anxiety towards to increase in oil prices.
they doubled it, they freaking doubled it.
it was so painful looking at that photo, furthermore, the monks regard themseleves of 'having no worldly possesions' and therefore, they are willing to die for the people, to fight for their rights.
they didnt have any weapons, only alot alot of people.
and they freaking opened fire at them, i dont know, but is that even allowed??
like the ricebowl throw at yr soldiers they will die ah? you think bomb is it? at most bleed alot only WHAT.
aint this something we should really ponder upon?
& NOT DOUBLE THE OIL PRICES AND PRACTICALLY WATCH YR PEOPLE STARVE, THAT IS SO SUICIDAL.

okay, im not going into Politics becasue i know shit.
But because of all these ignorance, riots and violence, how many people have lost their loved ones and their homes?
You think they care? No, I don't think so.
Because they didnt care, my family left our homeland 50 years ago, all thanks to riots and violence, to ensure our safety (HAH!), daddy left.
and i lost my roots.

now, you know why i am so pro-racial harmony, equality and the Spore Pledge practically summarises everything and why i religiously recite the pledge throughout my 13 yrs of education in the government school?
This is why.
But a part of me, still yearns to be part of that country.

& mummy told me that something like this happend in China a very very long time ago, its called liu si, because it happened on 4th June.
The students protested outside TianAnMen Square and yeah, the military told then that if they dont leave, their tankers will just run over them.
&& so they did... the tankers just ran over the thousands of people, who didnt move a single inch.

So, lets all pray tonight that nothing worse happens to Myanmar, that the expatriates and locals, especially the monks are all safe & sound. I pray.

Women's soccer la, omg, iys really funny because all the girls looked like Ronaldino.

Sometimes, i dont get what parents want from us.
Sometimes, i dont know whats right and whats wrong anymore.
Dont worry, Im alright, no monster or dinosaur killing.
All Mummy wants is her darling girl to stay home and practically, STAY HOME.
Sister smsed me, claiming that mummy will be very happy if i stayed home one day, for the whole day.
Okay, I can do that, I mean, I used to do that.
Because it was secondary school and probably cause my cliques dont go out.
we disturb one another emotionally online and then hug each other on Monday, as if we hadnt seen each other for 10 years but its just 2 days, dude!

BUT..

LIKE HELLO, EARTH TO FAMILY.
Times have changed, I am in Polytechnic right now, yo!
& its inevitable I have late night meetings and such, Haha!
So, yes, if it pleases her, I'll find one day to stay home and try not to drive myself nuts.
Now.. what am I gonna do at HOME for 24 hrs? I will die please..

i am so tired, i dont even know what im typing right now.
i went for a swim today, after a ahhh, boring afternoon of chick flicks, iddling ard the hse.. because no one asked.
and guess who i saw there!

describes everything abt clearing and my feelings.

you know, I was thinking..

i went to chalet, my god family's chalet.

its 1.53 in the afternoon and I am still, lying on my bed with my good ol' lappy to keep me company.

Im blogging despite my churning stomach, painful headaches and itchy itchy eyeballsss.

My left eye have been really really allergic to dust lately,

Council Meeting today was good.
Really warmed up with the people, thanks caleb for the laughter & all :D
supper with the gang, like after.. five thousand months.

Maybelle & I headed home after the meal.
heahaches were unbearable, she had to send me to my busstop.

Fine, so we went there.

was thinking, sister will love em for this and let me stay out late

oh please, i am too tired to contd on my Poly Forum post,
so i saved the draft! HAHAHA!

well, fun. i am back safely, despite tsunami warnings and earthquakes.
i met really great friends, (sean paul, READ THIS HORRR)

anyway, i went training today with my friendly teammate,

1. we saw a dead lizard in the water, i almost capsized the boat.
no la, but the lizard was GROSS.
it was white, lying on its back, with its tummy showing like a big big U shape.
EEYER PLEASEEEE.

2. Sunny Gordon and Noisy Damien were flooding the boat with their oh-TOO-powerful strokes.
Coach: You all flood the boat till damn jialat know!
Sock: Yalor, flood until my slipper can float already la!
okay, you must be a rower to know why its funny, cause usually slippers dont float in boats. HAHAHA!

3. Coach was demo-ing those powerful strokes of his to showcase how to get the "VROOM VROOM" sounds. oh my..
sock & I were obiously not listening/ watching cause we were mesmerised by his really neatly cutted side parting fringe. HAH!
&& after the trn, we went looking for him...
Kim & Sock: Eh, jiaolian, we have something to tell you leh..*looks damn serious
Coach: Ya, what?
Kim & Sock: OH, you know jsut now right... WHEN YOU ROW THAT TIME AH, YOUR FRINGE DAMN NCIE KNOWW, WAHHH, DAMN SATTT AHH!

4. sometimes, it would be great if somebody can just shut up when coach talks.

we had our TPSU Sub Comm Tea Party ystd!
the theme was Back To School, so everyone were in their sec school uniform!
it was really fun laughing at others, the oversized or too tight pants, haha!
we had a really fun time, i believe!
and and and, I got a taste of MY MUSHROOM CHEESE PRATA!!

it was crispy and the taste of the cheapo cheese that melts in my mouth, together with the err, soft and chewy mushrooms.

Today, I went to the GYM again with denise

I thought it was a very very very nice show because its about culinary :)
somehow, its better than ratatouille, because it nearly made me cryyyyy.

&& I thought the scene where Aaron & Catherine kissed was super.. eeyer la.
cause it was so upclose and it lasted around 30 seconds?

Thursday, 6th Sept
Today, I will brog about my work place, Iggy's Restaurant.
If you need some statistics, lemme bring you on an orientation trip.
Ranked 98th Restaurant in the World in 2006, Ranked 60th Restaurant in the World in 2007, Chef Dorin Schuster awarded the San Pellegrino Chef of theYear Award by World Gourmet Summit.

Sounds really impressive and everything right? Yes, you are right, it is.
My boss is round and cute, very very you fu qi
My lady boss gives me the feeling that she's really a businesswoman, capable and all. && I will be like her one day (they eat foie gras with french fries can, i have the FF, i need to wrk towards the foie gras now..)
Chef is the cutest/ nicest chef on earth, because he says hi to me everytime he sees me,
because he helps me when im like a frantic lil spiddeyy,
because he cannot stop telling me what Kim Possible (watch Nickelodeon pls) can do, fly/ kick/ kill enemies, and how fun the GameBoy version is because he bought for his baby girl. (HAHAAHAHHAAHAH!)
Then, they have a very funny kitchen crew, who cook up a storm every night, amazes the guests with such gastronomic dishes
Also not to forget, the very very black Service Staff, serious, very black; where all they do is pinch my fats/ arms/ cheeks and tell me really dsiturbing things and make me laugh liek crap. Hah.
And they have three very nice part-timers, namely, sexy legs, turtle soup and crocodile meat.

But after all the introduction, no, I am not as capable and all like them.
I am not your World class waitress, I think I am jsut the flower pot there -.-
I am not even half of what I am at Ritz or SSM class, awww poor thing, mr goh will be so disappointed.
):
But still, I am glad I went to wrk on Thurs to see experience humility yet again.

Once more, bloody cleaners screwed up again.
Chef and I had to like wash the dishes and all FOR THEM, wipe FOR THEM.
&& when alvin (the trainee) and I were busy cleaning up, the cleaners left.
i dont know why they can do that, whent he dishes arent clean, floor isnt clean and what not.
and i dont know why that bloody woman can go for DINNER during operation hours, i didnt even hav my dinner okay.
So, chef just let them go.
&& the next thing i knew, our world class chef was washing the bloody dishes and mopping the damn floor.
where he could just leave like the other chefs/ cooks(?), well, not that they didnt help.
and guess where were all the service staff?
laughing and enjoying life trying to set up 2 PDRs, as if it was so diff that they needed like 5 ppl huh? FULL TIMERS OKAY.
All te black thing did was come in, stare at the last cleaner and diao him. THATS ALL.
oh well, i then looked at alvin and told him, "this is humility", and alvin replied, "this is teamwork", with the exception of them.

You see, sometimes, I hate HTM students for being so cocky and all. (sometimes, myself)
They think they know it all, but I guess, it runs in the Service line.
& whats with the, "i've done dishes, been there, done that"??
So did chef, and he is down here helping us to clean up, when he can leave early, just so we can leave a tat bit earlier?
Sigh, this is where TMNT is going to go through for 5 months.
But at least, we learn something today :)
chef is the man! :D


Friday, 7th Sept
Godma held a birthday party for Ryan's 8th birthday :)
wondered why she never once did one for meee, because mummy dearest hates parties, oh well ):

You see, aunty annie looked after me when i was just one month old, all the way till.. im like 18 yrs n 1 month old, NOW.
so, she was more or less like my mother, since mummy's wrk took up so much time.

stayed over at her house yet again :)
the one place mummy will let me stay 104382751 years and she wouldnt even worry.
as usual, godma told us her stories till wee hours, 3am to be exact.
; all her adventures to clubbing/ disco nights and everything, the era of fashion she have experienced, how goddad 'tackled' her, the traffic police they raced with, love rivals, bras flying off her nehenh on bike rides cause she was so flat, alot alotmoree :)
it was nvr a bore listening to her stories, because you just want to know that part of her past, it was always exciting :)
& she wants to go chiong with me, with godsis n hubby, :DD

Saturday, 8th September
Mummy came to fetch and we went to Uncle's Thanksgiving Service at Sion Pres Church.
Well, every family has one or two dark secrets, my family is the power.
we have probably a dozen, but here's one..
On this day, this dark secret who was forgotten by the society, despised by the society, have returned and brought tears of joy, life and light into our lives once again.
& I thank God for the changes I see in my uncle.
He has tattooss drawn over every milli-inch of his skinn, 5thousand more than mason.
He used to spout words so ugly and disgraceful, mummy would cover my little ears.
He used to go in & out of prison like he was going home, or a holiday.
He used to spend every cent he have on drugs, everything.. and i used to find them in his toilet.
He used to shout and curse at granny, taking money from her and all.
We used to travel all over Singapore to bail him out from all the police stations, mummy used to say, the only police station she have yet to visit was the HQ. (HAHA-.- right mum, mayb if he smuggled bombs la)
We used to fear him, whenever he comes knocking on our door
We used to visit him at the prison, i went to every one in spore alrdy know, and people used to look at my mum n i so differently, as if, the prisonn man's wife n daughter are here to see him. those eyes full of sympathy. mum even went when she was expecting me, can you imagine that image? how sad.
We used to cry whenever we visit gandpa's grave every year, telling him, uncle's in jail again.
I used to hate him, for making life so diff for granny and mum.
I used to hate him so bad, till i refused to drink my orange jucie i got from macs (it was a big deal back then), when he drank out of it. i could still rmb the cigarette smell, thoughts abt those heroin n what not mixed in my drink.. i was only 5 la..-.-
I used to hate him, for having all those uglyy tattos all over his body.
I used to hate him, for touching my head, because i always thought his hands were dirrty, stained with blood, drugs and sin.
but all he wanted to do was, to sayang his favourite niece.
I used to always remind mummy to buy bananas because they were ahgu's favourite, and he had always doted on me, and i liked it when he smiled, he had such a charming smile, even better then those gangsters in Infernal Affair.
I used to hate my sister for not talking to ahgu, but i realise, she hated him more, now, she cannot be bothereed.

But today, things have changed, things are different, God changed him.

The moment mummy saw him, she said, "look at him, so handsome!"
and her tears started flowing down. he was all dressed up, all smiles, like a fresh graduate out from a v olddd university :)
he gave a speech, he thanked granny & my mum, my mum cried even louder.
My hatred, my embarassment, my thoughts were all erased.
I dont know, but now i feel like aplogising for doubting his abilities to draw away from the sins he've committed.
but now, i am able to accept him back into our lives once more.
even though it would be difficult to get back into the society, i think what he cherishes most right now, is the family love we have provided.
I'm not good with words, but you cannot imagine how proud we are.
finally, a good night rest for mummy dearest, he finally made her a very happy and proud sister, after 48 years horr. -.-

Thank you to the Brothers, Sisters and volunteers for helping him since 1999, even though he fell hard, he stood up again.
Thank you God for hearing our prayers and guiding him onto the right path.


So yes, the chew family is always an exciting fmaily with really exotic (im serious) stories to tell.
we have universitiy graduates, someone who delcared bankrupt, windsurfer, satay seller, ex-drug addict, malaysian family of.. nvr ending, security screening officer (not chop passport one cann), swimming coach, pilot, tcher, money changer, and lastly, student union's president :DD
HAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHHA! exciting la.

good day :)

i went training today, meowmeow.
it was great to like row and all again la, feeling damn good :)
we were the pacer and all, cause mygay coach gave a v long talk abt why we shld be pacer, so we okay lor.
he said tt TP girls were small, well, he haven met Sock and I yet.
and he have yet to see psuan's biceps yet, BIGGEST IN THE TEAM! hah.
but still, wasnt as satisfied as i thought i would be.
i was prepared to run and pumping and all know.
guess, i expected too much from the team la :(

but still, i had such a great time with my dearest companion, Sock :D
who dined with my beloved parent and stared at my mum when she said, "boon, eat the stingray"
